INFORMATION <br />UPDATE <br />FARMERS' <br />MARKET <br />MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 27, 2011 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 27th day of <br />April, 2011 in the Conference Room of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />City Administrator <br />Parks & Rec. Hanson <br />Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to conduct an <br />information update between the City Council and staff. <br />The Parks & Recreation Director reported that the Parks & Rec <br />Department will be coordinating a farmers' market this summer. He <br />reported that the proposal for the farmers' market came from the manager <br />at The Mayfield. This person had already done some prework for the <br />market with The Saxon Lanes, arranging for the use of a portion of their <br />parking lot and bathroom facilities within the building. The Director <br />reported that the manager will be assisting the Parks & Rec Department <br />with this venture. <br />The farmers' market will be held on Monday mornings from June 2011' <br />through September 26'1'. These dates should not conflict with farmers' <br />markets held in neighboring cities. Information /application packets have <br />been sent out to vendors. <br />The Director also noted that a PUD Permit will be required for the <br />farmers' market and this will be processed during the May planning cycle. <br />Boss suggested that the Donut Hut be contacted to determine if they <br />wanted to sell donuts at the farmers' market. <br />
