MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MAY 11, 2011
AMENDED LOAN
AGREEMENT —
GRABA
PROPERTIES
COMMUNITY
SURVEY
DRAFT
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -5 -91— ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 1103., LIVESTOCK, OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATED TO LIVESTOCK, POULTRY, AND PIGEONS AS
RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
The City Administrator noted the action at the last Council meeting
wherein the Graba Property PUD -B District was amended to allow
a thrift store use in that district. There was also discussion at that
meeting relative to the need to amend the Graba Loan Documents to
reflect that Neato -Scan would be occupying Bob Wagner's space within
the building. The Administrator reported that Bob Wagner has informed
him that the property taxes on the building are significantly higher than
expected. As a result, the thrift store may not be able to more into the
building. Given this turn of events, Mr. Wagner has not submitted the
amended Neato -Scan lease agreement, which is needed to prepare the
amended Loan Documents.
The City Administrator reported that Mr. Wagner has been informed that
the amended lease needs to be submitted as soon as possible, and that this
matter will be scheduled for Council action at its May 25, 2011 meeting.
The Council reviewed the revised Community Survey draft that
incorporated the most recent changes suggested by various Council
Members and City staff. The Administrator noted there was a suggestion
to delete the question relative to Traffic Enforcement. Blesener suggested
that that question remain given the City incurs cost for extra traffic
enforcement. Other suggestions relative to the list of City services have
been made and were acceptable to the Council.
The Administrator recommended that question #95 be changed to read the
"Reopen Demont Rink ". It was also suggested that questions #98 and #99
be deleted. The Council agreed.
Keis noted that the questions rating the Mayor and City Council were
omitted. The City Administrator reported that Peter Leatherman of
Decision Resources was OK with these questions being left off the survey.
9
