This treatment would not appear to be consistent with the City Council's direction given <br />at the time of the previous review. As noted then, the acceptance of additional sign <br />area under the PUD presumes a tangible enhancement to design. The City Council <br />would need to determine if the proposed covering meets its expectation, and whether <br />the stucco treatment should be applied to both poles and the block base as proposed. <br />Summary and Recommendation <br />The City Council's direction last November was for a brick wrapping of the poles as a <br />part of the applicant's sign expansion. The applicant has proposed a stucco -like <br />material on both poles and block base.
