MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 24, 2011 <br />BIDS FOR <br />COUNTY <br />ROAD B -2 <br />LANDSCAPING <br />CERTIFICATE <br />OF <br />COMPLETION <br />RELEASE FOR <br />THE VILLAS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that the City Engineer discovered that <br />the junipers he included in specifications for the County Road B -2 <br />landscaping project were 2 feet in height versus 5 feet. Given there was <br />not enough time for the contractors to amend their bid bonds, the City <br />Engineer is requesting that bid opening be delayed and the bid award <br />occur at a special meeting on Monday, August 29, 2011. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -8 -165 - CONTINUING THE BID OPENING <br />FOR THE COUNTY ROAD B -2 LANDSCAPING PROJECT UNTIL <br />MONDAY, AUGUST 29, 2011 AND CALLING A SPECIAL MEETING <br />FOR MONDAY, AUGUST 29, 2011 AT 5:15 P.M. IN ORDER TO <br />AWARD BIDS FOR THIS LANDSCAPING PROJECT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator presented the Council /Economic Development <br />Authority with a Certificate of Completion & Release for The Villas <br />at Little Canada, LLC. The Administrator reported that this is a <br />standard form release under the Development Agreement for this <br />project. The Administrator reported that the developer of The Villas <br />has sold another unit, and the title company is asking that the individual <br />owners of The Villa units be released from the developer's obligations <br />with regard to minimum improvements relative to this development. This <br />action would not release the developer from his obligations under the <br />Development Agreement. It was noted that the Economic Development <br />Authority is the entity that would need to act on this matter. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -8 -166 - TEMPORARILY ADJOURNING AS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL AND CONVENING AS THE ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />17 <br />
