MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 14, 2011 <br />CONSENT <br />AGENDA <br />this issue. It is the goal of his office to speed up the decision - making <br />process on these cases in order to send the right message to both victims <br />and offenders. These cases will be prioritized so that cases with a high <br />lethality to victims are handled quickly. <br />Choi again pointed out the goal of his office to improve public safety and <br />to reach better outcomes. He again thanked the Council for hearing him <br />this evening. <br />Blesener asked the impact of budget cuts on the County Attorney's office. <br />Choi indicated that his office has reallocated resources and priorities in <br />order to accomplish its goals. Choi felt that the new priorities in the <br />County Attorney's office will result in better outcomes. <br />The Council thanked Ramsey County Attorney John Choi for his <br />presentation. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -9 -178 — APPROVING THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS <br />*APPROVAL OF PARTIAL PAYMENT TO T.A. SCHIFSKYFOR <br />2011 IMPROVEMENTS; <br />*APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER ADDING PARK STREET <br />REPAIR TO 2011 IMPROVEMENTS; <br />*ORDERING THE ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE AT 29 AND 29 <br />DEMONT AVENUE AND CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT <br />COSTS AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF; <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2011 MILL & The City Administrator reported that the 2011 mill and overlay <br />OVERLAY improvements are substantially complete, and he recommended that <br />IMPROVEMENTS the Council declare costs, order preparation of assessment rolls, and call <br />for assessment hearings.
