Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(651) 766 -4029 / FAX: (651) 766 -4048
www.ci.little-canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council
FROM: Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk
DATE: January 8, 2008
RE: 2 A.M. Liquor License
MAYOR
Bi(1 Blesener
COUNCIL
Rick Montour
Barbara Allan
John Keis
Michael McGraw
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. 1- Janson
Bangkok Avenue has made application for renewal of its 2 A.M. Liquor License. In
addition to the 2 A.M. License, this business holds the following licenses:
On -Sale Wine License
(Note: may be issued only to restaurants with seating capacity for 25 or
more individuals.)
3.2 On -Sale Malt Liquor License
(Note: the combination of the two licenses above allows the sale of strong
beer.)
Consumption and Display License
(Note: allows the sale of set -ups to individuals who bring their own strong
liquor to the establishment.)
Entertainment License
In discussing Bangkok Avenue with the Fire Marshal, there are currently issues with
inadequate trash pick -up. The business has both a small and a large dumpster, and the
large dumpster is picked up on an "as needed" basis. The Fire Marshal frequently
observes this dumpster overflowing and trash bags and beer cases piled on the ground.
Staff would recommend renewal of the 2 A.M. License provided that Bangkok Avenue
makes the corrections necessary to ensure adequate trash pick -up.
