CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RESOLUTION FOR LAYOUT APPROVAL AND FUTURE COST PARTICIPATION <br />At a meeting of the City Council of the City of Little Canada held on the 14`x' day of April, 2004, <br />the following resolution was offered by Mayor Fahey and seconded by Council Member LaValle <br />to wit: <br />WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation has prepared a final layout for the <br />improvement off -35E between TH 36 and County Road E and 1 -694 between Rice Street and <br />TH 61, portions of which are within the City of Little Canada, and seeks the approval thereof; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, and final layouts are on file in the Minnesota Department of Transportation Metro <br />Division office in Roseville, Minnesota, being marked, labeled, and identified as Layout No. 4B <br />S.P. 6280 -304; and <br />WHEREAS, improvements to City utilities and drainage appurtenances have been included in <br />the said final layouts; and <br />WHEREAS, based upon the Minnesota Department of Transportation's "Procedures for <br />Cooperative Construction Projects with Local Units of Government ", the City's share for this <br />work is estimated to be $329,117.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has requested that the City formally <br />indicate its intent to participate in the costs of utility and drainage improvements requested by <br />the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED that said final layouts for the improvement of said <br />Trunk Highway within the corporate limits be and hereby approved, and the City agrees to <br />participate in costs associated with this project as set forth in the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation's "Policy and Procedures for Cooperative Construction Projects with Local Units <br />of Government" subject to the following conditions: <br />1) Noise Walls - <br />Additions — Little Canada requires the addition of noise walls in the following <br />locations: <br />1. Along the south side of the 1- 35E/694 commons area from Edgerton Street east <br />to the point the wall terminates as shown on MN DOT plans dated July 24, <br />2003, <br />II. Along Canabury/Viking Drive from the proposed wall ending just north of <br />County Road B2 south to the end of the project limits at approximately station <br />865 +00. <br />Deletions — Little Canada requests the deletion of the two noise walls proposed along <br />23 <br />
