Mr. Dropps also informed me that he is willing <br />to pay all real estate taxes due in 2008 for the property in questions. <br />Based upon this information, staff would recommend we accept the donation subject to appropriate <br />environmental indemnity from the current owner. The Council should decide on this matter so we can <br />inform Mr. Dropps and allow him enough time to complete the background work needed to complete the <br />transaction before the end of June. ('Phis will enable the City to claim tax - exempt status for 2009.) <br />cc: Ed Dropps <br />
