CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />AN INTERIM ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO MINN. STATUTE §462.355, SURD. 4 <br />PRESERVING THE STATUS QUO IN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA PENDING THE <br />CONSIDERATION AND ADOPTION OF AMENDED OFFICIAL CONTROLS REGARDING <br />PERMITTED OUTDOOR STORAGE ON PROPERTY ZONED I -1. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />I. FINDINGS: The Council of the City of Little Canada finds that the City adopted a Comprehensive <br />Plan and Official Controls pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 462.351 to 462.358. The I,ittle Canada City <br />Council has authorized staff to conduct a study and to analyze the existing use and proposed use of <br />property in the I -1 zone in the City for outdoor storage. The Council also re- states its findings and <br />intent from its previous act to allow consistent application of planning, Ordinance No. 621, as further <br />justification for the continued moratorium. <br />The Council further finds that the authorized study and analysis will not be completed within 30 days <br />of the expiration of Ordinance No. 621 on March 20, 2008, requiring an extension of the moratorium <br />period, <br />2. EXTENSION OF MORATORIUM: The force and effect of Ordinance No. 621, imposing a <br />moratorium on certain actions relating to planning and zoning in the City of Little Canada and <br />providing for exceptions to the moratorium, is hereby extended to a date one hundred and twenty <br />(120) days following the City Council's adoption of findings and recommendations based on the <br />study of outdoor storage, provided that in no event shall the moratorium remain in effect beyond <br />September 14, 2008 (18 months from original moratorium). <br />3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance extending an existing moratorium will be in full force and <br />effect following its passage and publication, according to law. <br />PASSED by the City Council of Little Canada this 27" day of February, 2008. <br />William Blesener, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Joel R.
