Unfortunately, after a long period of calling
and waiting, General Pump failed to follow through with our request to engineer a system
which pushed this project out farther than I would have liked.
Early in January I met with Mr. Joel Hanson and Mr, Bill Dirks of the City of Little
Canada in regards to re- engineering the waste disposal site located at 95 Woodlynn Ave
Little Canada, MN (On Site Sanitation)
I located a company called Electric Pump which specializes in municipal waste disposal
grinding pumps. This company has worked with many municipalities. They are
proposing a system called the "Muffin Grinder" to be installed to the disposal site at On
Site Sanitation. This system will emulsify all waste, solid objects and control odor. A
presentation was given to both Mr, Hanson and Mr. Dirks by Mr. Troy Heimerl of
Electric Pump, which included a video along with a lengthy question and answer session.
This information was left with Mr Hanson and Mr Dirks at that time.
There were discussions and recommendations from the cities point of view, such as an
added insurance policy naming the City of Little Canada as loss payee in the event of a
sewer line back —up due to our waste disposal site. I have no problem purchasing
additional insurance and I am also willing to invest in the above grinding system to
Portable r'testroorrrs 0 Corm fr(action a Special Events
Servicing Metro, Rochester; and Surrounding Areas
5
