The property to the south of the hockey rink is owned by St. John's Church. Additionally, the Commission is planning for a future trail connection from Little Canada Road at the skating complex location, through a portion of the St. John's property over the Water Department easement, and eventually to the boardwalks planned in the wetland area adjacent to The Preserve. To facilitate these plans, the Commission has recommended that the City contact St. John's Church relative to either the purchase of the property needed or acquisition of an easement over the same.
