C O N T R A C T I N G
Quality Contracting
3066 Spruce Street
Little Canada, MN 55117
April 21, 2008
Bill Blessner, Mayor
Joel R. Hanson, City Administrator
Member of the City Council
City of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
Dear Mayor, City Administrator and Members of the Council:
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our company and myself and provide
you with some insight as to what is happening with our business in Little Canada. My
name is Jay Osborn and I am the President of Quality Contracting. We combined
and relocated all of our Twin Cities Metro area operations to Little Canada in 2004
and have enjoyed continued success and efficiencies by being here. Additionally,
we have offices in Denver and Milwaukee.
Quality Contracting is a utility -based construction company. We provide services to
the likes of Xcel Energy, Comcast, CentrePoint Energy and many municipalities in
the metropolitan area. We have four divisions that provide restoration, installation,
locating of underground utilities and traffic control services to our customers. The
company is now fifteen years old and we are happy to say that we are growing
strong. I have personally been in the industry now for over twenty -five years. Doug
Yetzer, Chad Loecher and myself own quality Contracting. We are all Minnesota
residence whose offices are in the building on Spruce Street and we all play an
active role in the day - to-day operations.
Recently, we have found it necessary for additional space to house our equipment
and material. The intent for the rental of the land next door is to house the equipment
in the winter when it is idle, to provide overflow parking for our employees and a
space for the storage of our materials in the summer. Our materials typically consist
of new gas pipe and traffic signs. We take great pride in our equipment and the
appearance of our yard and have a full -time dedicated employee on staff to take care
of the needs of the yard and equipment. We feel being a good neighbor is
something that should be expected.
