RAMSEY COUNTY <br />COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />Agreement between <br />the County of Ramsey County <br />and the City of Little Canada <br />Realignment of Viking Drive from <br />TH36 to Minnesota Street <br />Little Canada.PW2008.06..doc <br />Agreement PW2008 -06 <br />April 10, 2008 <br />SAP 062 - 035 -003 <br />CSAH 49 <br />Attachments: <br />Exhibit A — Viking Drive <br />Realignment/Reconstruction Cost <br />Summary <br />THIS AGREEMENT, by and between the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, a municipal <br />corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City," and Ramsey County, a political subdivision of the State <br />of Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as the "County "; <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the County and the City desire to realign Viking Drive between TH36 and <br />Minnesota Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the project is located within the City of Little Canada; and <br />WHEREAS, the project will benefit operations and maintenance on Highway 49 north and south <br />of TH36 and the future reconstruction of the interchange of Highway 49 and TH36, and it has been <br />determined by The Minnesota Department of Transportation Metro District Office of State Aid that costs <br />for reconstruction /realignment of Viking Drive are eligible for County State Aid Highway Tumback <br />(CTB) funds; and <br />WHEREAS, costs eligible for CTB funding includes all costs for physical reconstruction of <br />Viking drive and professional fees for project development, engineering design, and contract <br />administration up to 25% of construction costs; and <br />WHEREAS, this project, has been designated as State Project Number SAP 062 - 035 -003; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada has undertaken the design, right of way acquisition, <br />contract administration and construction of the realignment of Viking Drive as defined herein; and <br />WHEREAS, the project includes, in addition to other things, grading, paving, concrete curb and <br />gutters, storm sewer, turf establishment, and utility adjustments and betterments; and <br />PW2008 -06 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
