IMP. NO. 2008 -02 - CONDIT STREET MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA APRIL 28, 2008 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 28th day of April, 2008 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Council Member Council Member Council Member ABSENT: Council Member ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator City Engineer Public Works Supt. City Clerk Mr. Bill Blesener Ms. Barb Allan Mr. John Keis Mr. Rick Montour Mr. Michael McGraw Mr. Joel R. Hanson Mr. Lee Elfering Mr. Bill Dircks Ms. Kathy Glanzer Mayor Blesener opened the public hearing to consider the improvement of Condit Street. The following options are to be considered: *Urban road reconstruction and drainage enhancements; *Rural road reconstruction and minimal drainage enhancements; *Recycle existing surface and install new pavement without drainage enhancements. The City Engineer presented a detailed report relative to this proposed improvement. That report outlined the project history as well as the previous improvement hearing held in January of 2008 at which urban reconstruction was proposed. At that hearing, the Council voted not to move forward with the urban reconstruction. The Engineer indicated that given the increased deterioration of the street this spring as well as complaints received on its condition and potholes, City staff requested that the Council hold another improvement hearing to consider options relative to reconstruction of Condit Street.
