Ranson <br />The fence around the water tower is in poor condition and does not look very nice <br />anymore. Staff received three quotes to replace the existing fence with a shorter five -foot <br />tall black, vinyl- coated fence. The other available color options are brown and green. A <br />sample of the colors has been included for your reference. The portion of the fence that <br />runs along Noel Drive currently runs parallel with the street to a corner and then angles <br />off to the gate. Staff is recommending that portion of the fence be rounded off to match <br />the radius of the water tower for easier maintenance and a cleaner look. A rough sketch <br />of the two different layouts has been included. There is a portion of the old fence in the <br />back corner that will remain in place since it can't be seen and is in good condition. The <br />following quotes were received: <br />Able Fence: <br />Century Fence: <br />Modern Fence: <br />$1 0,687.00 <br />$11,370.00 <br />$9,100.00 <br />Based on the quotes received staff recommends the Council approve the quote from <br />Modern Fence. The quote includes removing the old fence and posts and hauling it <br />away. If the Council prefers a different color or a different configuration please inform <br />staff and the necessary changes can be made. The price should not be significantly <br />impacted by a change in either option. <br />1 <br />
