2008 Street Improvements Page 2 <br />City of Little Canada <br />PROJECT HISTORY <br />❑ Previous Meetings <br />Y Public Hearing in January 108. Resident opposition to reconstruction, mainly due to <br />tree impacts. City Council voted to not move forward with the urban reconstruction. <br />❑ Street Conditions <br />Y Increased deterioration this spring. Resident complaints received on condition of <br />road and potholes. <br />Y City completed some pothole repair. <br />PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS <br />❑ Option 1: Reconstruct Condit Street from South Owasso Boulevard to Nadeau <br />Lane back to a rural section, which would be close to the current condition. The <br />west street edge to match existing edge in areas where necessary for tree <br />protection. <br />1 Street <br />• Reconstruct as a 24 -foot Rural Section. <br />• Estimated Reconstructed Street Section <br />- 8 Inches of Aggregate Base <br />- 1.5 Inches of Bituminous Base <br />- 1.5 Inches of Bituminous Wear <br />Storm Drainage <br />• No storm sewer would be installed. The existing drainage problems <br />would remain, possibly move. <br />• Installation of Rainwater Gardens for Storm Water Treatment as required <br />by Watershed permit. <br />❑ Option 2: Mill existing bituminous to recycled CL V, then pave with 3 inches of <br />bituminous. <br />Y Street would be raised 3 to 4 inches. <br />Y No storm sewer improvements, drainage problems would remain or possibly <br />move. <br />4 <br />
