Cooperate with Sheriff's Department personnel in their response to, and <br />investigation of, incidents at Bangkok Avenue, to include written statements <br />from restaurant staff on incidents that they witnessed. <br />Additionally, we recommend hiring off -duty deputies as security, but per Sheriff's <br />Department policy, they can only be used as an exterior supplement to interior restaurant <br />security. Off -duty deputies cannot be used as interior security staff in bars, and can only <br />be used to patrol the parking lots of businesses that serve alcohol. Also, a minimum of <br />two deputies are required to work at a time, and one of the deputies must be a patrol - <br />trained deputy. <br />We have no problems with Bangkok Avenue serving alcohol in a traditional restaurant <br />setting, as My Le Hoa did for many years, but if Bangkok Avenue is going to function as <br />a bar, their management needs to adopt the business practices necessary to make it a safe <br />and secure bar. <br />8 <br />
