The investigation data and
proposed speed limits are currently being reviewed by Mn/DOT's Office of Traffic, Safety,
and Operations, which will make the final speed limit determinations. You will be informed
of their decision.
The recommended speed limit is the same as the existing speed limit. We suggest a routine
review of CSAH 58, to ensure all necessary signs are in place, visible, in good condition,
and in conformance with the Minnesota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Special attention should be given to warning and advisory signing for any locations where
the authorized speed limits cannot be safely maintained, and to other traffic control devices
which could be impacted by the posted speed limit.
Copies of speed samples obtained during the study are enclosed. If there are questions
regarding the data or our recommendations, please contact Ed Brown (651- 234 - 7806).
Lars Impola, P.E.
District Traffic Engineer -- Program Support
LI:DS
An equal opportunity employer
