MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JANUARY 26, 2000
aoioo - c u P
3/0/
It was noted at the December 15`h Council meeting there was discussion
regarding the easement that was granted for sanitary sewer on the east end
of the property. The City Administrator pointed out that the easement
document was drafted by the City Attorney, and the City has no reason to
believe that it is not accurate.
Scalze noted that the easement on the eastern edge of the property has no
impact on blacktopping of required parking areas.
Carl Costanzo reported that they will blacktop the required parking in the
spring.
There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was
closed.
The Zoning Administrator reported that the outstanding issues with this
property are the screening of storage areas from the public right -of -way as
well as the blacktopping of required parking. There had been concern on
the part of Mr. Costanzo with the recommendation for blacktopping of
required parking given future plans to connect the building to sanitary
sewer. The Zoning Administrator pointed out that when sanitary sewer is
extended down Ryan Drive, the building could be connected at that time.
Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2000 -1 -14 — APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT FOR OPEN AND OUTDOOR STORAGE OF
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT AS AN ACCESSORY USE AT 3151
COUNTRY DRIVE AS REQUESTED BY CARL COSTANZO AND
PAT PETERSON SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR AS
OUTLINED IN HER REPORT DATED NOVEMBER 5,1999
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Morelan, Pedersen, LaValle.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
CUP — 3101 Mayor Fahey opened the continuation of public hearing for a Conditional
SPRUCE Use Permit for open and outdoor storage of materials and equipment as an
STREET — accessory use in the side and rear yard at 3101 Spruce Street as requested
2
