McDonald's
VIA DHL
Joel R. Hanson
City Administrator
City of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117-1600
RE: Extension of Contingency Period
Real Estate Swap Contract
Dear Mr. Hanson:
Kathy R. Madigar
McDonald's Corporation
One McDonald's Plaza
Oak Brook, Illinois 60523
Direct Dial Number (630) 623 -7285
Fax (630) 623 -8161
June 20, 2007
As we discussed over the phone earlier today, McDonald's has identified one potential
adverse environmental condition on the property to be acquired by McDonald's under the Real
Estate Swap Contract ( "Contract ") between McDonald's and the City of Little Canada,
specifically the sediment pit/trough, which acts as an oil -water separator for the car wash. As
we discussed, both parties have agreed to extend the Contingency Period (as defined in
Section 6 of the Contract) for McDonald's until June 27, 2007, so that the City can consider and
approve the attached Environmental Addendum to the Contract.
Please review and have the attached Environmental Addendum executed by the
appropriate City officials prior to expiration of the extended Contingency Period on June 27,
2007. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Kathy Madigan
Senior Counsel, McDonald's Corporation
Cc: Craig Barnes — 942 (via e -mail)
S: \HOIDEPTLegal \USLEGAUCentral Division \ Midwest \022 -0071 (Little Canatl06.20.07 Letter.doc
