-EtTali% 41SS0(141T -ES <br />Memo <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br />FROM: Lee Elfering, City Engineer <br />DATE: May 18, 2007 <br />RE: Viking Drive Demolitions <br />The City purchased the properties at 85 Viking Drive, 91 Viking Drive, and 2250 Rice <br />Street in anticipation of the relocation of Viking Drive as part of the City's 2007 Street <br />Improvements project. The relocation will require that the structures on all three <br />properties be demolished for street construction and preparation for a new plat for the <br />area. We have advertised for the demolitions and will be receiving bids on Monday, May <br />21, 2007. Prior to the City Council meeting we will be providing a summary of the bids <br />and recommendation in regards to the lowest responsive bidder. <br />A hazardous material inspection is currently being completed for determination of the <br />required abatement.
