MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />May 10, 2007 <br />Duray recommended denial of the Amendment to Planned Unit <br />Development Permit to construct a display gazebo and a second accessory <br />garage structure at 2905 Country Drive, Temo Sunrooms & Exteriors, based <br />on the findings of fact as outlined in the City Planner's report dated May 4, <br />2007. <br />Motion seconded by Knudsen. <br />Motion carried 7 — 0. <br />ELECTRONIC The City Planner reported that the League of MN Cities just issued <br />BILLBOARDS some new information relative to electronic billboards and freeway signs. <br />He also indicated that the City of Minnetonka is close to completing its <br />safety study on this issue. The Planner hoped to have a proposed ordinance <br />for the Commission's review at its next meeting. <br />The Commission discussed the fact that the technology is here, and the <br />issue for the City is regulation of certain aspects of this technology such as <br />how often the message can be changed. <br />HOM The Planner informed the Commission that Hom Furniture has requested <br />FURNITURE that action on their requests for Text Amendment and Conditional Use <br />Permits be tabled at this time. They are in negotiations with the owners of <br />the former Levitz building, and want to conclude those negotiations before <br />the City Council takes action on their applications. <br />ADJOURN <br />Duray moved to adjourn. <br />Motion seconded by Barraclough. <br />Motion carried 7 — 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjoumed at 8:20 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kathy GI <br />City Clerk <br />-6- <br />
