Hanson <br />I have made contact with the owner of the Oasis property and discussed the City's need <br />to know if acquisition can be completed in order to proceed with the realignment of <br />Viking Drive. The owner was very encouraging about their ability to resolve the <br />mortgage release issue that has prevented the acquisition from occurring and in the level <br />of interest he expressed in selling the property to the City. It may be possible that we <br />could close on the site as early as the end of next week. <br />I am to be updated prior to Wednesday's meeting. I hope to have a final answer for the <br />Council at Wednesday's meeting. <br />
