Where possible, TCMA experimental sites will be selected <br />from the 205 locations where summer trapping and removal has <br />been done and the 99 locations where weekly counts have made <br />during the September- December period since 1994. Four island <br />breeding sites (Lake of the Isles, Battle Creek, Normandale <br />Lake, Schmidt Lake) and numerous non - island lakes (Mccarrons, <br />Josephine, Como, Owasso, etc.), type -5 and type -4 wetlands meet <br />both criteria. Initial sample sizes would be four for island <br />nesting locations, and five for non - island lakes, type -4, and <br />type -5 wetlands respectively. Study wetlands in the latter <br />three types will be selected randomly and sample size increased <br />if statistical variability merits. <br />Study duration would be from April 15, 2002 to April 15, <br />2005. <br />FUNDING AND EQUIPMENT: <br />At this time, no funding is being requested for this study. <br />I anticipate funds provided by the cities and the Metropolitan <br />Airport Commission will pay for the nest searches and <br />populations surveys.
