Hanson <br />Bill Dircks <br />Jerry Auge <br />Jim Tulgren <br />Dave Tulgren <br />Tom Duray <br />Kathy Glanzer <br />The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to review the proposed <br />Rice Street Phase I1 Project plans. Phase II extends along Rice Street from <br />County Road B -2 to County Road C -2. <br />Jerry Auge, Project Manager, Ramsey County Public Works, indicated that he <br />will be involved in this project from the design phase through construction. He <br />reported that a Technical Advisory Committee met to work on the project design <br />from 2006 through 2008. The Committee consisted of council members, city <br />staff, business owners, and residents from the Cities of Little Canada, Roseville, <br />Shoreview, and Vadnais Heights. From those meetings, project plans were <br />developed with only minor changes from what the Committee had <br />recommended. Auge indicated that based on the needs study that was <br />conducted, goals for this improvement include an increase in mobility and safety <br />along the Rice Street corridor. <br />Auge reported that the existing roadway consists of three lanes, i.e. two 12 -foot <br />through lanes and a 14 -foot left -turn lane down the middle of the road.
