CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING NO SIGNFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS <br />AND FINDING NO NEED FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT <br />FOR THE EXPANSION OF <br />ST. JUDE MEDICAL OFFICE AND RESEARCH FACILITIES, <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />WHEREAS, St. Jude Medical has proposed an expansion of it's office and research <br />campus in the City of Little Canada ( "the City "); and <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Rules Chapter 4410 require that projects of the scope of the St. <br />Jude Medical Technology Center require the completion of a review of potential <br />significant environmental effects in the form of an Environmental Assessment <br />Worksheet (EAW); and <br />WHEREAS, the City has prepared and approved an Environmental Assessment <br />Worksheet for the purpose of studying the potential for significant environmental effects <br />of an expansion of the St. Jude Medical Technology Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has published the EAW in the July 30, 2007 edition of the EQB <br />Monitor in accordance with the requirements of Minnesota Rules Chapter 4410; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has distributed the EAW to adjoining and affected jurisdictions as <br />required by Minnesota Rules Chapter 4410; and <br />WHEREAS, the required thirty day comment period expired on August 29, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has received comments from some jurisdictions relating to the <br />EAW, including Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, Ramsey County Department of <br />Public Works, and Twin Cities Metropolitan Council: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The City Council finds that there is no significant environmental effects of the <br />proposed St. Jude Medical Technology Center; and <br />2. The comments received from the reviewers support the finding of no significant <br />environmental effects; and <br />
