CITY <br />ADMINIS- <br />TRATOR'S <br />PERFORMANCE <br />EVALUATION <br />MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 21, 2011 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City Council <br />of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 2151 day of December, 2011 <br />in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in <br />said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. and the following <br />members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator <br />City Clerk <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Ms. Shelly Boss <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />The City Council reviewed the City Administrator's 2011 performance <br />as well as the City's accomplishments listing that was prepared and <br />submitted by the City Administrator. The Administrator indicated that <br />one area he is giving high priority to for 2012 is to conduct performance <br />evaluations for staff using a revised format. Department head will be expected <br />to do these evaluations for their subordinates. <br />The Council and the City Administrator discussed the Council's desire for an <br />overall review of City departmental functions and staffing. It was the consensus <br />of the Council that once the Finance Director position is filled, the focus will <br />shift to an evaluation of the staffing level of all City departments. This will <br />likely be an exercise that will be conducted as part of 2013 Budget review and <br />planning. <br />The Council gave the City Administrator an overall rating of excellent. The <br />consensus was to give the Administrator an additional $5,000 in compensation <br />for 2011, a 4.4% wage increase for 2012, and maintain the $5,000 in deferred <br />compensation for 2012. <br />
