A recreation area that adjoins or is related to a dwelling at grade or <br />principal structure, is no more than six (6) inches above the immediately adjacent <br />grade at any point within two (2) feet of the patio, is often paved with concrete, <br />stone or masonry materials, and is typically adapted especially to outdoor dining. <br />133. Permitted Use. A use which may be lawfully established in a particular district or <br />districts, provided it conforms with all requirements, regulation, and performance <br />standards (if any) of such districts. <br />134. Person. An individual, firm, partnership, association, corporation, or organization <br />of any kind. <br />135. Porch. A covered entrance to a building, usually with a separate roof. A covered <br />portion of a residential dwelling attached to the principal building which projects <br />into a rear or side yard <br />136. Principal Building. A building in which the primary use of the lot (on which the <br />building is located) is conducted. <br />137. Principal Use. The primary use of land or structures, as distinguished from a <br />subordinate or accessory use. <br />138. Public Parks. Any park, playground or open space designated as a public use <br />which is dedicated or reserved for recreation purposes. <br />139. Public Pedestrian Trails. A narrow strip of land for non - motorized travel <br />designated as a public use. <br />140. Public Use. Uses owned or operated by municipal, school district, county, state, <br />or other governmental units. <br />141. Public Utility Structure. A self - supporting lattice tower or monopole structure <br />upon which wires are hung for the transmission of electrical current which is <br />owned and maintained by a government - regulated electric utility company. <br />142. Public Waters. Any waters as defined in Minnesota Statutes, Section 1036.005, <br />Subdivision 15. <br />143. Public Waters - Natural Environment. Those waters whose shores are generally <br />characterized by low density, single family residential development as determined <br />by Minnesota Reg. NR 82. <br />144. Public Waters - Tributary River Segments. Tributary river segments consist of <br />watercourses mapped in the Protected Waters Inventory that have not been <br />assigned one of the river classes in Items 112, 113, 114 and 115a.
