MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
DECEMBER 21, 2011
The Administrator reported that he would keep the Council informed as he
gathers more information relative to this matter, and the Council expressed their
agreement with the direction that the Administrator is taking.
It was also noted that another issue that needs to be addressed is the City's
contract with the City of Birchwood relative to utility billing. The Finance
Director indicated that she will discuss this issue with Birchwood and will report
back to the Administrator. The Administrator indicated that if Birchwood
chooses to continue to have Little Canada do its utility billing, he will review the
contract to make sure that the arrangement will continue to work for both cities.
The Administrator reported that as part of the City's conversion to its remote
read water meter system, there may be a great deal of data entry work that must
be done. The Administrator indicated that it may be necessary to hire some
temporary help to get that work accomplished. The Council indicated their
agreement with hiring temporary help, if necessary.
There being no further business, the workshop was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
William Blesener, Mayor
Attest: J e i 2—_.____
Ianson, City Administrator
4
