Hanson <br />www. ci.little- canada. mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor I3lesener and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />DATE: February 1, 2012 <br />RE: Second Hand Goods Dealer License — Planet Thrift <br />Phillip Tateosian, dba Planet Thrift, has made application for a Second Hand Goods <br />Dealers License to operate a thrift store in the Graba building located at 3225 County <br />Drive. The Council may recall that the possibility of a thrift store was previously <br />discussed and the PUD Zoning for this property was amended to allow a thrift store as a <br />permitted use provided that all goods are stored and sold indoors. <br />While the thrift store is a permitted use, the City's Code requires a Second I-Iand Goods <br />Dealers License for the operation of a thrift store. Mr. Tateosian has made application <br />for a Second I -Iand Goods Dealers License and a Sheriff's Department Background <br />Check is pending. <br />Subject to receipt of a satisfactory background check, City staff is recommending <br />approval of the license. <br />2 <br />
