MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />FEBRUARY 9, 2012 <br />there is parking allowed in the front of the building, but noted that the fire <br />lane is to remain clear. The tine lane is between the parking at the front of <br />the building and the boulevard area. Barraclough asked if Fischer were <br />running the businesses for which he is seeking the CUPs. Fischer reported <br />that the building has four units, he occupies one and the other three are <br />rented. Fischer reported that he is seeking the CUPs for two of his rental <br />units. <br />Barraclough was concerned about maintain traffic flow on the property <br />from a safety standpoint. Pischer again pointed out that there is no <br />parking allowed in the fire lane, and he is very strict with his tenants about <br />that. <br />The City Planner suggested that the Fire Marshal and Code Enforcement <br />Officer confirm that property usage is in terms with the conditions of the <br />active CUPs for this property. <br />Barraclough pointed out that there was double parking of vehicles at the <br />corner of the building. Fischer reported that attimes one of the businesses <br />has short meetings that bring in several additional vehicles -for. about an <br />hour. <br />The Commission felt that the parking issue should be clarified, both in <br />terms of parking and traffic access on the property as well as in terms of <br />outdoor storage of vehicles ensuring that vehicles for sale are not being <br />parked outdoors. The City Planner suggested that the Code Enforcement <br />Officer revisit the property and confirm that the conditions of parking and <br />outdoor storage are being complied with. <br />Barraclough recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permits for <br />indoor, retail used -ear sales dealerships at 200 and 202 Ryan Drive subject <br />to compliance with the recommendations of the Code Enforcement Officer <br />in her report dated February 1, 2012 and subject to the Code Enforcement <br />Officer revisiting the site and reporting to the Council whether or not the <br />conditions of parking and outdoor storage are being complied with. <br />Motion seconded by Duray. <br />Motion seconded 6 — 0. <br />VARIANCE — The City Planner reported that Derek Anderson, 298 Rose Lane, has made <br />298 ROSE LANE — application for a Variance to allow the storage of a wood pile in a front <br />ANDERSON yard to allow the parking of operational recreational trailers, recreational <br />equipment, utility trailer, and other related equipment in a front yard. The <br />Planner noted that the property is at the end of Rose Lane and is accessed <br />- 4 - <br />11 <br />
