Attached is a
listing of' the contest entry street names. The goal is to have a winning name chosen in
time for the edition of the City's next newsletter. Council can chose the winning name at
its March 14th meeting and meet the newsletter deadline.
City staff is recommending the following process be used to choose a winner. Each
Council Member would make its top three choices, awarding a point value to each
choice, i.e. three points for its top pick, two points for second choice, and one point for
third choice. Point values would be added, and the name with the highest point value
would be the winner, subject to ratification by the Council at the 3/14 meeting.
This is only one method that could be used, and if the Council has other suggestions,
these could be discussed at Wednesday's meeting and a process chosen.
1
