August 4, 2006 <br />City of Little Canada <br />Parks and Recreation Dept. <br />Attn: Jim Morelan <br />This letter is to inform you of my interest in serving on the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission Board. <br />I moved to Little Canada from Roseville in May of 2003. Immediately upon my walks <br />along the sidewalks of Little Canada Road, I noticed that the roses needed attention. I <br />volunteered to look after the roses and have every year since. I was also a volunteer with <br />the City of Roseville and assisted with the band shell performances. <br />I have close contact with several Master Gardeners, one of which is my sister. I could <br />consult with them at anytime about problems concerning the roses and plants, and have <br />already done so. <br />At the Fleur Royale property where I live, I have planted gardens and assisted with <br />keeping our place looking nice. <br />One of my past working positions was with the Roseville Schools as a building aide and <br />office back -up. I have some understanding of the Recreation part of this program. <br />My main goal and interest is to help with the decisions to keep Little Canada beautiful <br />and clean. <br />Sincerely, <br />Ruth P.
