for collection. The Contractor shall bear the responsibility for contacting the <br />Public Works Director prior to each construction season to determine areas of <br />conflict and possible alternate routes or solutions. No additional <br />compensation will be made for this interference. <br />6. Administration. Contractor shall maintain an office equipped with telephones <br />and staffed with sufficient personnel to handle complaints, orders for special <br />service, and /or to receive instructions. <br />a. The office shall be staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through <br />Friday (except holidays). <br />b. The Contractor shall maintain a written log of all complaints, the date <br />thereof and the action taken pursuant thereto or the reason for <br />non - action. All complaints shall be responded to within 24 hours of <br />their receipt. The log of complaints shall be made available for <br />inspection by the City Administrator or an authorized representative <br />upon request. <br />c. The Contractor shall keep complete and accurate records in accordance <br />with generally accepted accounting principals. <br />d. The Contractor shall bill and collect monies due from residents for <br />collection service. The City will send notices to delinquent residents <br />in the fall of each year asking them to make their accounts current. If, <br />after receiving the City's notice, a resident still fails to make payment, <br />the City will certify the delinquent amount to the resident's <br />property taxes. The City will then reimburse the Contractor for the <br />delinquent amounts and the Contractor will credit the appropriate <br />amounts to the delinquent residents' account. <br />e. The Contractor shall provide notice to the City of any change of <br />ownership of the Contractor, and the Contractor shall provide the City <br />with an affirmative undertaking regarding this Contract by the buyer <br />of the Company. <br />D. Performance Standards. <br />The Contractor shall supply all labor, material, and equipment necessary for the <br />carrying out of this Contract. <br />1. Equipment <br />a. Vehicle Protection.
