City of Little Canada, Minnesota <br />Ordinance <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 903.020.T. OF THE LITTLE CANADA <br />CITY CODE, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY PROVIDING FOR <br />BUILDING MATERIALS STANDARDS IN THE I -1, LIGHT INDUSTRIAL <br />DISTRICT. <br />The City Council of the City of Little Canada hereby ordains: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 903.020.T. is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />T. Building Construction in Residential Districts, and Business Districts <br />and Industrial Parl- Districts. <br />1. No pole type buildings, and no conventionally framed, pre - fabricated, or <br />engineered steel buildings with metal exteriors (walls or roof), which are in excess of one <br />hundred twenty (120) square feet, shall be allowed. <br />2. All buildings in Residential and Business Districts shall be constructed of <br />solid wall masonry, pre -cast concrete or aggregate panels, wood frame masonry veneer, wood <br />siding (provided the surfaces are finished for exterior use and wood of proven durability is used, <br />such as cedar, redwood, or cypress), fiberglass, steel, or aluminum residential siding, glass <br />curtain wall panels (non- structural), and stucco. <br />3. In Residential Districts, and Business Districts, and in an Industrial Park Districts, <br />buildings which are non - conforming by type (e.g. pole or engineered steel) existing on the date <br />of passage of this Ordinance shall be allowed to be expanded to the extent of twenty -five (25 %) <br />percent of the size of the existing building by using materials similar to those of the principal <br />structure, provided other lot and building requirements of this Ordinance are met. Such buildings <br />shall be subject to all other requirements of Section 903.010, and any amendments thereto. <br />Section 2. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and <br />after its passage and publication. <br />William Blesener, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />
