CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A MORATORIUM ON THE <br />ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS FOR CERTAIN TYPES OF BUILDINGS <br />WITHIN THE I -1 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />An Interim Ordinance establishing a moratorium relating to certain property <br />within the City of Little Canada. <br />(A) Purpose and Intent. The City of Little Canada has adopted a Comprehensive <br />Plan and Official Controls, pursuant to Minn. Stat. § §462.351 to 462.354, and the Little <br />Canada City Council has authorized staff to conduct a study and to analyze existing uses, <br />proposed uses, and existing zoning of the property described below within the City of <br />Little Canada, for the purpose of considering amendments to the Comprehensive Plan or <br />Official Controls relating to the property described below. <br />(B) Pursuant to Minn. Stat. §462.355, subd. 4, this interim ordinance, for the <br />purpose of protecting the planning process and the health, safety, and welfare of Little <br />Canada citizens, hereby prohibits the issuance of building permits within a "I -1" Light <br />Industrial District for all buildings that are prohibited by Little Canada Zoning Code <br />§918.060.B., and other buildings that do not comply with the requirements of Little <br />Canada Zoning Code §918.060.D.1 and 2. <br />(C) This interim ordinance establishes a moratorium, as provided herein, which <br />shall expire on , , if not extended or repealed prior to that <br />time. <br />PASSED by the City Council of Little Canada this day of , 2006. <br />ATTEST: <br />Joel R.
