license plates therein for the purpose of locating goods suspected or alleged to have been stolen or <br />otherwise improperly disposed of. <br />808.060. INVESTIGATION OF APPLICANT. Before such person, firm or corporation <br />shall be licensed to conduct such business in said City, a copy of the application for license shall be <br />delivered to the police officer or authority within or without the City as specified by the Council and <br />such police officer or authority shall investigate the applicant and report to the Council with the <br />approval or disapproval of such application by said police officer or authority, provided, however <br />that no person shall be licensed under the terms hereof who may at any time prior to the issuance of <br />said license have been duly convicted in any court of competent jurisdiction in having received <br />stolen goods or of any infraction of the teens or provisions of this Chapter or any of the ordinances <br />or laws of this City regulating such business. <br />808.070. SUNDAY CLOSING. No person, firm or corporation licensed under the teens <br />hereof shall keep his place of business open or do any work, in connection therewith on Sunday. No <br />person licensed under this Chapter shall purchase or receive any automobile or automobile parts of <br />any nature from a minor. <br />808.080. DAILY REPORT. Every person, firm or corporation licensed under the terms <br />hereof, shall make out and deliver to such police officer as is designated by the City to receive same, <br />every day, before 12:00 o'clock noon, a legible correct and complete report of the automobiles, <br />automobile parts or accessories purchased, the amount of money paid therefor, the time of the receipt <br />of same, the name, residence, and the reasonably accurate description of the person selling the same, <br />received during the preceding day and said report and description shall be signed by the licensee <br />herein, and shall be delivered in person by said licensee to the police officer designated, except that <br />this Section shall not apply if the licensee buys the car or part as junk from a licensed automobile <br />dealer. <br />808.090. 72 HOURS. No automobile or part purchased by a licensee hereunder shall be <br />dismantled or sold or permitted to be removed from licensee's place of business for at least 72 hours <br />after the copy and statement required under Section 808.080 hereof shall have been delivered to the <br />police officer. If an automobile is purchased for dismantling, the licensee shall, after 72 hours, <br />forward to the Registrar of Motor Vehicles of the State of Minnesota, the certificate of ownership, <br />together with the license plates issued for such vehicle, with a signed notice of the date and manner <br />that such vehicle was received for dismantling and the name and post office address of the person <br />from whom such vehicle was purchased; unless the same was purchased from a licensed automobile <br />dealer who had already notified the State Registrar of Motor Vehicles. The retention, sale, transfer, <br />loan or destruction of any license plates other than above specified is hereby prohibited. <br />808.100. ORDER TO REFRAIN FROM SELLING. Whenever the licensee hereunder is <br />ordered by the police authority to refrain from selling any automobile or part, the same shall not be <br />sold or delivered to anyone until authorized by such police authority. <br />808.110.
