Flanson <br />www. ci.little- canada. mn. us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: December 14, 2006 <br />RE: Highway 49 (Rice Street) Reconstruction <br />Technical Advisory Committee <br />The Ramsey County Public Work Department is beginning work on a concept plan for <br />the reconstruction of Highway 49 from Highway 36 to County Road J. In developing the <br />concept plan, the County is bringing together a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) <br />and is asking for representation from the Cities of Roseville, Little Canada, Shoreview, <br />Vadnais Heights, and North Oaks. Each city has been asked to appoint four <br />representatives to the committee — one staff person, one elected official, a commercial <br />property spokesperson, and someone to speak for area residents. <br />In discussing potential City representatives with Mayor Blesener, it would be our <br />recommendation that the following be appointed to represent Little Canada: Mayor <br />Blesener, Tom Duray (Hoggsbreath) as the commercial property spokesperson, Terry <br />Jansen (215 Demont Avenue) as the area resident spokesperson, and myself. <br />
