Hanson <br />www.ci.little-canada.mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Blesener and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: December 15, 2006 <br />RE: Moratorium on the Issuance of Auto Sales Licenses <br />Mayor Blesener has asked that the Council consider enacting a moratorium on the <br />issuance of auto sales licenses (both retail and wholesale) pending a study of the City's <br />auto sales licensing regulations relative to numbers of licenses as well as categories of <br />licenses. The City Code currently limits auto retail sales licenses to four, while there is <br />no limitation on the number of auto retail sales (indoor) licenses, nor auto wholesale <br />licenses. <br />The City Attorney is preparing a moratorium ordinance for the Council's consideration at <br />Wednesday's meeting. <br />
