MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 20, 2006 <br />LIQUOR <br />LICENSES — <br />2900 RICE <br />STREET — <br />BANGKOK <br />AVENUE <br />REZONING, <br />PUD PERMIT, <br />COMPRE- <br />HENSIVE <br />SIGN PLAN — <br />RICE STREET/ <br />SATISFACTORY RESOLUTION OF THE OUTSTANDING <br />TOBACCO FINE AND RECEIPT OF PROOF OF LIQUOR <br />LIABILITY INSURANCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Robert Thao appeared before the Council requesting approval of <br />various liquor licenses and an entertainment license for a restaurant that <br />his wife will be operating in the former location of My Le Hoa Chinese <br />Restaurant. The restaurant will feature a Thai and Chinese menu and <br />will be called Bangkok Avenue. The restaurant will be open seven days <br />per week, with hours of 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. depending upon business levels. <br />The City Clerk noted that a Sheriff's Department background check is <br />pending on Kaken Mai Thao as is proof of liquor liability insurance. <br />Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-11-278 — APPROVING THE FOLLOWING <br />LICENSES FOR KAKEN MAI THAI) DBA BANGKOK AVENUE <br />PENDING RECEIPT OF A SATISFACTORY SHERIFF'S <br />DEPARTMENT BACKGROUND CHECK AND PROOF OF LIQUOR <br />LIABILITY INSURANCE: <br />ON -SALE WINE LICENSE <br />ON -SALE 3.2 INTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR LICENSE <br />SUNDAY LIQUOR LICENSE <br />2 A.M. LIQUOR LICENSE <br />CONSUMPTION & DISPLAY LICENSE <br />ENTERTAINMENT LICENSE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mayor Blesener opened the public hearing to consider the applications <br />for Rezoning of the Rice Street and former railroad property to Planned <br />Unit Development, Amendment to the PUD Permit, and a Comprehensive <br />Sign Plan for the Rice Street/Spruce Street sites occupied by Frattalone <br />Companies. It was noted that the City Planner and Planning Commission <br />have recommended approval subject to conditions. <br />7 <br />
