There have also been <br />requests for even narrower street sections that have been approved due to existing <br />conditions. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />First and foremost the street network throughout a City must provide for efficient, safe, <br />and effective movement of traffic. Dependent on the traffic levels and speed of the <br />roadways a street width can vary. At this time we are providing recommendations on City <br />street widths for discussion as shown below. It is our recommendation that the <br />reconstruction of Municipal State Aid (MSA) roadways be completed the required <br />standards. Streets that have <br />traffic volumes under 250 ADT could be reviewed on a case by case basis for street <br />width determinations.
