Hanson
www.ci.little-canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Biesener and Members of the City Council
FROM: Bill Dircks, Public Works Superintendent
Jim Morelan, Parks & Recreation Director
DATE: November 3, 2006
RE: Parks /Public Works Maintenance Worker I
On April 3, 2006 Matt Mallory was hired on a temporary, full -time basis for a period of
six months with an evaluation of the position to occur after that time. This temporary
position has been shared by the Parks & Recreation Department and the Public Works
Department.
We have completed our evaluation and have concluded that the position is needed by
both departments on a continuing basis. Both the Public Works Superintendent and
myself agreed that Matt has been a very valuable asset to both departments during this
past six months.
It is our recommendation that this temporary position be established as a full -time,
regular position, and that Matt Mallory be hired to fill this position effective November
15, 2006. The position will continue to be shared by both departments.
