Ranson <br />TO: Mayor lilesener and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: March 23, 2012 <br />RE: Accept Petition & Order Feasibility Report <br />Road Access to 735, 739, 743, and 751 County Road 8-2 East <br />The City is in receipt of petitions requesting the improvement of the road access to the <br />above listed properties. All four property owners have submitted signed petitions. <br />However, the petition submitted by Steve Lord, 743 County Road 13 -2 East, is asking to <br />be compensated for this potential road right -of -way, as this land is a part of his property. <br />'l'hat issue will need to be resolved between the four property owners. Even without the <br />Lord petition, we have attained more than the minimum signatures required to proceed <br />with a feasibility report (35% of property owners abutting said improvement). <br />Another issue is that the location of the current driveway encroaches onto neighboring <br />property. This issue will also need to be resolved between property owners and can be <br />better identified in the feasibility report. <br />Staff recommends acceptance of the petitions and the ordering of the requested feasibility <br />report. <br />1 <br />
