Sec. 13 -77. Heating Facilities. <br />(1) Every dwelling and multiple dwelling unit shall have heating facilities. <br />(2) The owner shall be required to see that the heating facilities are properly installed, safely maintained, <br />and in good working condition. <br />(3) The owner shall ensure that the facilities are capable of safely and adequately heating all habitable <br />rooms, bathrooms, and toilet rooms to a temperature of at least eighty degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees <br />Celsius) with an outside temperature of minus twenty degrees Fahrenheit (minus 29 degrees Celsius). The <br />heating facilities shall be capable of maintaining a minimum room temperature of seventy degrees <br />Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius) at three feet above the floor in all habitable rooms including bathrooms <br />and toilets at all times when rented. Operation of Heating Facility and Incinerator. <br />Every heating or water heating facility must be installed and operated in accordance with the <br />requirements of the Building Code.
