50 vehicles. The applicant had requested storage for 150 — there does not appear to be
any possibility of such a number without packing them tightly as in a junk yard.
In summary, planning staff believes that there is no justification for the variance to the
parking requirements, and that the City Engineer has provided recommendations for
regarding the lot to make it usable as originally approved under the Conditional Use
Permit. Application of the original conditions should be enforced. With regard to the
storage area, a maximum of 50 vehicles would be appropriate for this area — any more
would result in an area that would be impossible to maintain order.
pc: Kathy Glanzer
Steve Westerhaus
Lee Elfering
Greg Schroeder
