Memo <br />- ELCCRING - 11SS0(I-11T {S <br />TO: Mayor Blesener & Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Lee Elfering, City Engineer <br />DATE: June 20, 2006 <br />RE: RO -SO Contracting Invoices <br />Late last fall the City requested quotes for completing a storm sewer repair on Spruce <br />Street which included the removal and replacement of curb and gutter, extension of a <br />storm pipe, and construction of a concrete swale. The lowest quote received was over <br />$10,000 and the work was delayed due to the time of the year. This spring Ro -So <br />Contracting indicated that they could complete the work for less than $10,000.00 and <br />they were authorized to proceed. Ro -So has completed the work and the attached <br />invoice of $8,180.00 is a summary of the costs on a time and material basis. <br />In addition to the Spruce Street storm sewer repair, we also requested that Ro -So <br />complete some curb replacement work necessary on Sylvan Street to eliminate standing <br />water as a result of curb settlement. This replacement was to be done on a time and <br />material basis per our request. The attached invoice for $5,956.00 represents the cost <br />of this additional work. <br />We have inspected the work preformed by Ro -So Contracting for both projects and <br />would recommend payment of both of the invoices.
