Build a Community BuildingIn support of the recommendations to build a community building, the TAC also recommends:•Contracting professional design services to:•Design a building that fits within our system and community needs. Represents our “Maple Leaf Vibes”.•Begin design and engineering services in 2026•Design a multi-use facility that can be used year-round that can:•Provide private rental space for 120-150 persons•Include space that can be used for community events•Include space dedicated to youth and adult recreation programming•Incorporate a small conference room for community meetings•Provide office space for two full-time employees, flexible common space, and a greeting/reception area•Incorporate passive outdoor space that is covered and lighted•Utilize the preliminary work of the TAC. The TAC has:•Worked with community leaders and industry professionals to learn more about their experiences•Identified the preferred function and uses of a community building in Little Canada•Looked into the future to consider flexibility and supportive infrastructure245
