98 <br /> <br />City of Little Canada Personnel Policy <br />retention schedule. <br />2. The City Administrator and his/her designee(s) may respond to comments posted on social <br />media sites when appropriate. <br /> <br />3. The City Administrator and his/her designee(s) are authorized to post information to social <br />media sites. Prior to posting information to social media sites: all content must be verified as <br />factual, verbal consent must be received if the cityCity is using someone else’s image, name, <br />words (such as an article or testimonial), and content must be thoroughly proof-read (when <br />possible, use someone other than yourself). <br /> <br />4. The City Administrator and his/her designee(s) will monitor City content on social media sites <br />to ensure that it adheres to all applicable City policies. Information posted on social media <br />sites shall be consistent with the City of Little Canada’s mission, vision, and values. User <br />comments that violate the City’s Comment Policy (see below) will be removed. <br /> <br />5. All official City presences on social media sites or services are considered an extension of the <br />cityCity’s information networks and must comply with all cityCity policies. No one may <br />establish social media accounts or websites on behalf of the City unless authorized in <br />accordance with this policy. <br /> <br />6. Employees authorized by the City Administrator to represent cityCity government through <br />social media outlets must conduct themselves at all times as representatives of the cityCity. <br />Violations of this policy may constitute just cause for discipline as described in the cityCity’s <br />Personnel Policy. <br /> <br />7. Social media use will be reviewed as needed to assess effectiveness, evaluate performance, <br />and provide suggestions for changes or improvements. <br /> <br />8. Violation of this policy may result in information being removed from social media sites. <br /> <br />Disclaimer and Comment Policy <br /> <br />It is the City of Little Canada’s goal to provide information and news about the City of Little <br />Canada using Social Media Networks including, but not limited to Facebook and YouTube. The <br />City reserves the right to shut down any of its social media sites or accounts for any reason without <br />notice. <br /> <br />The cityCity’s site(s) is/are operated by the City of Little Canada. The City of Little Canada reserves <br />the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or delete any comments or posts, photos and <br />videos at any time. Residents’ opinions and feedback are welcome so long as they are presented in an <br />objective and respectful way that allows for a continued information relationship. While these sites <br />provide an open forum, they are intended to maintain respect for those who participate (i.e. family- <br />friendly). Please keep all comments clean. <br /> <br />The views, postings or opinions expressed on this site do not necessarily reflect those of the City of <br />Little Canada. <br /> <br />The City of Little Canada has the right to reproduce any pictures or videos that are posted on its <br />social media sites, in any of its publications or websites or any other media outlets.
