52 <br /> <br />City of Little Canada Personnel Policy <br /> <br />B. No City vehicle will be taken over two hundred (200) miles from Little Canada without written <br />authorization of the City Administrator. <br /> <br />C. Temporary authorization of employees to take vehicles home may be granted by department <br />supervisor. <br /> <br />D. The City expects all employees who are required to drive as part of their job to drive safely and <br />legally while on City business and to maintain a good driving record. <br /> <br />E. Employees who lose their driver’s license or receive restrictions on their license are required to <br />notify their immediate supervisor on the first workday after any temporary, pending or <br />permanent action is taken on their license and to keep their supervisor informed of any changes <br />thereafter. The City will determine appropriate action on a case-by-case basis. <br /> <br />F. Employees are required to keep City vehicles clean and well-maintained, both the inside and <br />outside of the vehicle. <br /> <br />Lawsuit <br /> <br />If the City of Little Canada is involved in a lawsuit or pending legal action, employees are not to <br />answer inquiries from any lawyers, insurance investigators, other parties involved, or anyone else <br />involved in the case unless authorized by the City Administrator or City Attorney. All inquiries are to <br />be directed to the City Administrator and/or City Attorney. <br /> <br />Child Support <br /> <br />The City of Little Canada, in compliance with Minn. Stat. Section 518A.83 shall provide information <br />upon written request by an agency responsible for child support enforcement regarding individuals <br />owing or allegedly owing a duty to support. <br /> <br />Receipt of Gifts and Other Gratuities <br /> <br />It is imperative that all employees not only maintain the highest possible standards of ethical conduct <br />in their transactions of public business, but that such standards are clearly defined. <br /> <br />A. Solicitation - Employees shall not directly or indirectly solicit pay, commission, money, <br />personal gift, service and/or anything of value or attempt to derive any benefit, profit or <br />advantage, directly from or by reason of any dealings with or service for the City for <br />themselves or by authority from or by reason of any improvements, alterations or repairs <br /> required by the authority of the City except lawful compensation or salary as City employee. <br /> <br />B. Unacceptable gifts and gratuities - Gifts of any size are unacceptable under circumstances in <br />which it could be reasonably expected to influence him or her in the performance of his/her <br />official duties or is intended as a reward for any official action on his/her part. <br /> <br />C. Acceptable gifts and gratuities - The following are examples of gifts and gratuities which may <br />be acceptable: <br /> 1. Awards for meritorious civic service contributions;
