CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 2026-1-4 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA TITLE VI PLAN <br />WHEREAS, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 provides that no person shall be excluded <br />from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination on the grounds <br />of race, color, or national origin under any program or activity receiving federal financial <br />assistance; and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Human Rights Act prohibits discrimination in the provision of public <br />services on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, disability, <br />gender identity, sexual orientation, and status with regard to public assistance; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada, as a recipient of federal financial assistance, must comply <br />with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Department of Transportation regulation 49 CFR <br />Part 21, and related statutes and regulations and has therefore prepared a Title VI implementation <br />plan, in accordance with these regulations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada that the attached Title VI Plan for the City of Little Canada is hereby adopted. <br />Adopted by the Council this 14th day of January, 2026. <br />_____________________________ <br />Thomas Fischer, Mayor <br />Attest: _________________________________ <br />Heidi Heller, City Clerk
